Welcome to the guide

Let’s face it guys, when it comes to eating most of us think that it is easier to just grab something from a burger joint or order a pizza then it is too cook. Not only does it take less time but it’s simpler too. Of course it is not to friendly to the wallet or the waistline but that is what the gym is for, right? Of course not many of us actually hit the gym on a regular basis, am I right?

Here is a secret guys, not only will cooking your own food save you money and help you to stay healthy but it is a great way to impress women. They say that the fastest way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Well guess what, the same is true for a woman’s heart. You want to prove to her that you are the sexiest man she has ever known? Don’t listen to all the so-called seduction gurus and their “secret” head games. Just learn to cook and she will be dying to grab you and keep you. If you know your way around a kitchen she will brag about you to all of her friends and if you guys ever break up you will already have a ready made pool of girls who think you are the studliest guy around.

So let’s go ahead and get started with lesson number one. This one is pretty easy. You will need a large mixing bowl, some measuring cups and measuring spoons, a whisk (that wire thing that kind of looks like a balloon) and a pan. I prefer to use a cast iron skillet but if you don’t have one, any frying pan will do.

This is a recipe for apple cinnamon pancakes. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.It keeps you focused at work or in class and it helps to build on the good impression you made with her last night. Best of all, everyone loves pancakes and they are relatively simple to make.

Okay, to start, get out a 1 cup measuring cup and a one fourth cup measuring cup. Measure out 1 1/4 cups of all purpose flour into your mixing bowl. Then add 1/4 cup of sugar to the bowl. Now it’s time to get out the measuring spoons. You want to add one teaspoon of baking soda and one teaspoon of baking powder to the bowl and then add one tablespoon of cinnamon as well. Use the whisk to kind of blend all of these ingredients together.

Now we are going to add the wet ingredients. Start by adding one egg to the mix. Then measure out one fourth cup of oil and one half cup of applesauce. Now stir everything together until the wet ingredients are mixed in with the dry. It’s gonna look like a mess at first, but you are not ready to cook it yet so don’t worry. Okay, now get out the milk and pour in a little at a time. Mix in between pours. You will now it is ready to go when the mix is creamy and easily poured. Somewhere between pudding and melted ice cream is the consistency you are looking for.

Now preheat your pan over medium low heat. That is between 3 and 4 on the knob. Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter into the pan and let it cook until bubbles form and the edges appear dry. This usually takes three to four minutes. using a pancake turner, flip the pancake over and cook it for another three to four minutes. Then repeat the process over again until you have used up all of the batter. This should make about seven to eight pancakes which is enough for a cozy breakfast after a long night of getting to know each other.

Well that’s it for now guys. Make sure to check back regularly for more kitchen survival tips. So long.
